Karen joined Foster Sullivan in 2008 as a licensed insurance agent and CIC. She proudly serves the Northeast Region in her natural ability to create strong, trustworthy working relationships with her clients by providing insurance solutions for their business.

Prior to joining Foster Sullivan, Karen served as Human Resource Liaison for Client Services and Broker Operations at Putnam Investments. She also owned and operated a Steel Erecting Construction Company for 6 years. Karen’s work experience brings an immense amount of understanding and knowledge to the Insurance process from an owner’s perspective.

Karen primarily focuses on the demolition, asbestos abatement and concrete cutting industries. She has become the insurance expert for these contractors by surrounding herself with industry experts such as industrial hygienists, vermiculite experts, EPA, OSHA and Government employees who specialize in this field. She is continuously improving her knowledge by obtaining all education either from the NDA (National Demolition Association) or through her Mass Agent Board. Karen also has spearheaded MICA (Members of Independent Contractors Association) with the help of her demolition and abatement clients to help educate, train and promote safety within the Independent Circle of contractors in this industry.

Karen is currently an active member of the National Demolition Association, she has served on the Northeast Human Resource Association board, held Presidency at Mill City BNI, and currently sits on the Hanover Advisory Committee. She has been a life-long resident of North Andover, MA where she is raising her three children.

Karen graduated from the University of Hartford with a bachelor’s degree in business management. Karen holds a certificate of Human Resources / Organizational Development Graduate degree from the University of New Hampshire. She is currently in the process of obtaining her CRM.
